Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

LastBug is a Mac app for testing iOS apps by hand. It is made by Boostio s. r. o., Slovakia ("we", "us").

In short

LastBug collects no personal data. Everything it records stays on your Mac. We have no server that receives your recordings, and LastBug has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

What LastBug stores, and where

Recordings (screen video, voice, taps, screens, console logs and network requests of the app you test), findings and tasks are written to a folder on your Mac that you choose. We never receive them. You can delete recordings at any time in Settings, Storage; deleting the folder removes all of them. Settings live in the app's preferences on your Mac, and purchases are with Apple.

A recording can contain personal data that appears in the app you test, such as a test account or your voice. It stays under your control on your Mac. LastBug masks the tokens, passwords and keys it recognizes in logs and network requests, but you decide what you record and what you share.

Voice

Voice is recorded only while a recording runs and only after you allow the microphone in macOS. Spoken comments are turned into text by the speech recognition built into macOS, on your Mac. LastBug sends no audio anywhere.

Your AI tool

LastBug has no AI of its own. If you connect an AI coding tool that you use, it reads the tasks you hand to it on the same Mac. What that tool does with the data is governed by its provider's terms and privacy policy, not by us. Without such a tool, nothing leaves LastBug unless you copy or export it yourself.

Network

LastBug has no network access. It sends nothing over the internet, to us or to anyone else. Your AI tool is a separate program and may use the network under its provider's terms.

Purchases

LastBug Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and does not share your payment details with us; we receive only sales reports without your identity. LastBug checks whether you have LastBug Pro with Apple's StoreKit, on your Mac. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to the purchase: apple.com/legal/privacy

Crash reports

LastBug sends no crash reports. If you chose in macOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us crash reports without your identity through App Store Connect.

This website

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other websites.

When you write to us

If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed, at the latest two years after the last message. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (in practice only the emails you sent us), object to its processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Slovakia this is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic: dataprotection.gov.sk

Children

LastBug is a tool for software developers and is not directed at children.

Changes

We publish every change on this page with a new date.
